Method
How we carry out 1 RK deep cleaning
Walk-through
We note stains, fixtures that need care, and anything you want left untouched, all inside the first five minutes.
Kitchenette first
Grease is loosened and lifted from the cooking corner while windows are open, so fumes clear before we touch soft furnishings.
Top-down dusting
Fan, light, loft and wardrobe tops are done before any floor work so falling dust is collected, not spread.
Bathroom descaling
A stain-specific solution sits on hard-water marks while the room is being dusted, saving time without harsh scrubbing.
Floor and final check
The floor is machine-scrubbed and dried, then you inspect the room with us before we leave.

Why a small room needs a different plan
In a studio there is no separate kitchen to close off, so we use low-odour degreasers and keep a window open throughout. Cleaning solutions are chosen so that the room is comfortable to sleep in the same night.
Storage in a 1 RK is usually a single wardrobe and a loft. We ask you to clear these before we arrive so we can clean the inside surfaces, which is where most of the musty smell in a closed room comes from.

Do I need to be at home during a 1 RK deep cleaning?
Only at the start and the end. Spend five minutes showing us the room, then step out. We call you when it is ready for your inspection.
Can you clean a 1 RK with furniture and belongings inside?
Yes. We clean around and under movable furniture. If the wardrobe and loft are emptied in advance we also clean their inner shelves.
Will the room smell of chemicals afterwards?
No. We use mild, low-fragrance solutions in a studio because you sleep in the same space, and we keep the room ventilated while we work.
Is the kitchen chimney included in a 1 RK clean?
The outer body and filter area of a chimney are wiped. Dismantling and soaking the filters can be added if you mention it while booking.
